Kerri Grady is a US Air Force veteran, having served and continuing to serve as a medic in the New Hampshire Air National Guard. Her deployment and temporary duty assignments included Qatar, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, South Korea and Ghana. Mrs. Grady is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Nursing through the Direct Entry Master’s Program. Kerri chose to complete her education at UNH because of the excellent reputation of the nursing program, as well as the considerable contributions to research UNH is known for. Kerri has found that her favorite part of UNH was the library, having spent a great deal of time there drinking coffee and eating snacks. The most important lesson that she learned during her time at UNH was that balance is crucial to success. Kerri recommends that incoming Veterans utilize the Veteran’s Office located here at UNH, as well as getting involved in the vibrant community of Durham. Mrs. Grady is pleased to note that she obtained full-time employment as a registered nurse at Portsmouth Regional Hospital’s intensive care unit. She will also begin to obtain her Nurse Practitioner certificate this coming fall here at UNH.
