Good Neighbors

We live in mini-neighborhoods with nicknames like The Hills, The Timbers and The Valley. There are 27 residence halls, from traditional brick dorms to townhouses and high-rises, and there are tons of themed communities. Are you a globetrotter? Sports fanatic? Honors student? Artist? Whatever your interests may be, you’ll find a hall that feels just right.

Getting Around

Clever architects designed the UNH campus with convenience in mind. Dining halls are near residence halls. Residence halls are near academic buildings. Academic buildings are near the library. You’ll never have to go very far to reach your destination. And when something seems far away, you can jump on a campus shuttle and let a friendly driver take you there.

A Safe Place

Middle of Everywhere

When we say UNH is in the middle of everywhere, we mean it literally. Draw a 20-mile radius around Durham and you’ll find options to keep you busy for an entire year. There’s always plenty to do right here on campus, but for those times you want to step away, here are some of our favorite things to do within a short drive or bus ride.

Sustainability

Did you know that UNH has the highest sustainability rating in the land? It’s one of only four universities nationwide — and the only school in the East — to have earned STARS Platinum from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Sustainability runs through everything we do here at UNH, and as a student you’ll be at the center of it.
