UNH will be switching chat platforms this summer. UNH IT will discontinue the use of Skype for Business and replace it with Microsoft Teams.
Microsoft Teams is a chat-based workspace in Office 365 that makes it easy to have conversations, share files and collaborate on documents, and get work done with teams across the organization. Microsoft Teams lets you work in a natural, conversational way — with everything you need in one place — available anytime, on any device.

UNH students, faculty, and staff utilize Skype for Business for instant messaging, screen sharing, video and audio conferencing, and file transfers. On Monday, March 12, Faculty and staff Skype for Business accounts will be migrated from locally-hosted servers to the cloud. This change will facilitate collaboration between faculty and students, reduce dependency on local servers, and encourages the use of Zoom for audio and video conferencing.
What does this mean for you?
