The academic year can be a stressful time for both students and faculty members. Considering the course work, meetings, and extracurricular activities that consume the schedule of both groups, there is almost never a minute to waste. In order to be most productive, planning and organizing is of the utmost importance.

Course syllabi provide critical information about goals, assignments, readings, exams, expectations, and due dates that help to keep students and faculty on track.  But those same syllabi, as most of us know, can be subject to change depending on a variety of circumstances that are often beyond the control of students and instructors.

Illness, weather, and other last minute factors can cause changes to the class schedule, often resulting in the activities contained within the syllabus having to be rearranged. These changes can prove difficult for faculty since communicating the changes to students by email or in class may not always be effective.

The myCourses Calendar feature can help to ease some of those communications concerns. Watch the video below to find out how easy it is to use the Calendar feature and discover the immediate benefits when schedules change.
