Email Text

Links have been removed from the example below, linked text is underlined.

Your UNH account has been flagged for exhibiting suspicious network activity and you need to change your UNH password as soon as possible.

As this is the last week of the semester and we do not want to disrupt finals, we are suspending our standard practice of immediately securing any account flagged for suspicious activity and providing you with the opportunity to change your password voluntarily and avoid having your account secured.  As such, your account will not be secured until {date removed for security reasons}  (unless it is flagged for some other reason i.e. sending spam/phishing emails).

Failure to change your password by {date removed for security reasons}  will result in your account being secured.

If your account is secured, you will be required to contact the UNH Service Desk at 603-862-4242 between the hours of 7:30 AM and 5:00 pm or visit the Academic Technology Support Center in Dimond Library during their normal operating hours to restore your access.

Instructions for Changing Your Password

It is important that you follow the instructions below to change your password immediately.  Do Not use the password change utility in O365 as this does not change your primary UNH password.

To change your password, you can go directly to the Change Your Password tool found here : Change Your Password Tool

You can also get to the Change Your Password tool by going to my.unh.edu, clicking on the UNH Log In Help link, and scrolling down to the Change Your UNH Password section.  Find this sentence in that section, **If you only use myCourses (Canvas), change your password here.” And click the word “here” which will take you to the same URL as listed above.  (this information is provided as an alternative way to access the tool without having to click the link provided above).

You will need to know your username and current password to start the process.

If you have issues changing your password, please contact the UNH IT Service Desk at 603-862-4242 or visit the ATSC in Dimond Library.

Thanks for helping us keep the University secure!
