Safe, reliable internet access is integral to the University community. It touches every part of daily life here at UNH, including research and recreation alike.

Over the last year, UNH IT completed a campus-wide, $2.9M wireless upgrade, completed in just under 10 months, and four months ahead of schedule. During this overhaul, IT reengineered several processes to include wireless onboarding, authentication, and authorization to better accommodate Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

The project also included rewiring and installing new wireless access points in 2,148 UNH Residence Halls rooms, and the installation of another 1600 wireless access points in dozens of academic and administrative buildings.

UNH IT took on other infrastructure projects including the installation of fiber optic and new cabling in West Stadium, Hamel Rec Center, and newly-renovated Hamilton Smith Hall. IT installed Voice over Internet Protocal (VoIP) phones in Dimond Library, NH Hall, Hewitt Hall, Thompson Hall, Pettee Brook Hall, Hewitt Hall, Morill Hall, Memorial Union Building, and the UNH Field House.
