UNH Information Security Services introduces The Phishbowl

UNH Information Security Services (ISS) is pleased to announce the launch of The Phishbowl, a new tool for UNH's Security Awareness program users can reference when receiving suspicious emails. ISS will also post legitimate University communications that are reported as phishing attacks. The Phishbowl is accessible at: https://www.unh.edu/it/the-phishbowl.

The Phishbowl provides UNH faculty, staff, and students with a self-service way to determine if an email is a known phishing attempt. Visitors will find examples of phishing emails seen on campus, marked with a red X. Additionally, legitimate University communications reported as possible phishing attempts are also included on the site and marked with a green checkmark.

If you get a suspicious email but don't see it listed, DO NOT assume it is safe. There are many variants of every phish, and new ones are sent each day. When in doubt, consult with your IT support staff or the UNH IT Service Desk at 603-862-4242. If you receive a suspicious email that is not posted here, forward the email to phishing.report@unh.edu.
