Using Secure FTP (SFTP) in FileZilla

Instructions for Using Secure FTP (SFTP) in FileZilla

To download Filezilla visit: http://filezilla-project.org

 

  • Start FileZilla, and from the File menu choose "Site Manager…"



 

    1. Click on "New Site" button and type in a descriptive site name (in this example "IT Docs" is used)



    1. In the "Host:" box type in: wsupload.unh.edu

 

  • In the "Protocol:" drop-down choose: SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol
  • In the "Logon Type" area choose: Ask for password

 

    1. In the "User:" box type in: Your UNH/USNH account username




  • Click on the "Connect" button to test your SFTP connection
  • Type in your password and click "OK"

  1. When connecting to a new host for the first time, or if you change the host name, you will receive the following:

    Click "OK" to complete the connection.
