System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection Windows Usage Instructions

  1. Open System Center by double clicking the System Center icon in your notification area.  
  2. Click the Update Tab.
  3. Click Update.

 

 

Scanning

  1. Open System Center by double clicking the System Center icon in your notification area.  
  2. Click the Home Tab.
  3. On the right, select a Scan Option (quick, full, or custom scan) and click Scan Now.
  4. System Center will start the scan process. The System Center icon in your notification area will swirl while the scan is in progress.
  5. If no malware is found, you will be returned to the Home tab screen. If malware is found see the Virus Removal section of this documentation.

 

Virus Removal

  1. If a virus has been detected, the System Center Icon in your notification area will turn red. 
  2. Open System Center by double clicking the icon in your notification area. Red indicates your computer is at risk.
  3. Click Clean PC to start cleansing process.
  4. Once cleansing is complete, System Center will return to green indicating that action has been applied.
  5. Click Close to finalize the process.
