UNH sells Apple & Lenovo devices through the UNH Computer Purchasing Program

The following are UNH's general hardware and software recommendations, and Computing Recommendations by College.

College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS) All students: 8GB RAM required, 16GB RAM recommended; 256GB or better storage strongly recommended
Mechanical Engineering: 16GB RAM recommended, 32GB preferred.
If Apple, configure as dual-platform setup.
All students: Productivity suite required. Recommend Microsoft Office365 ProPlus, Google Docs, or Apple iWork, all of which include online services such as cloud syncing and collaboration
College of Liberal Arts (COLA) See minimum hardware recommendations from UNH IT

Civil Technology students: Windows-based computer with at least 8GB RAM (16GB recommended) & 64-bit operating system to use optional Autodesk applications available for student download 17” (or larger) screen recommended for laptops. Desktop computer with dual-monitor set-up recommended for best user experience
Forest Technology students: Windows-based computer with at least 8GB RAM to use optional ArcGIS software provided by department

Applied Animal Science students:

Tablets are not recommended as primary computing device at UNH. Check with professors on classroom tablet policies for note-taking and other functions.
