Skype for Business 2015 - Installation

Windows Client

Skype for Business 2015 is part of the Microsoft Office software suite for Windows workstations and is the new version of Microsoft Lync for the Windows OS.  If you already have Microsoft Office 2013 installed and updated, Lync 2013 will automatically switch to the Skype for Business 2015 client upon authenticating against our Skype for Business servers.

Students, faculty, and staff may install Office through their Office 365 Pro Plus subscription.  Faculty and staff may also be eligible to install Microsoft Office through the University's Microsoft Office Enrollment for Education Solutions Agreement.

Mac OS X Client

Skype for Business for Mac is available from Microsoft.


Mobile Clients

Skype for Business for iPhone and iPad is available for free at the Apple App Store

Skype for Business is available for free via Google Play.  

Skype for Business is available free at the Windows store.
