Making Off-Campus Phone Calls

In-State Calls (New Hampshire)

  • Dial '9' then the seven-digit telephone number for all New Hampshire calls. Dialing a pound sign (#) after the number will reduce connect times by up to 8 seconds in most instances, even for some local calls
  • If the call is a toll call, you will hear three bursts of tone followed by dial tone to indicate that an authorization code is required to complete the call. You will have ten seconds to input your 7-digit authorization code (need an authorization code?)
  • Exchanges in the Local Calling Area

Out-Of-State Calls

  • Dial '9' then '1'+AREA CODE+seven digit phone number. You will hear three bursts of tone followed by dial tone to indicate that an authorization code is required to complete the call. You will have ten seconds to input your 7-digit authorization code (need an authorization code?)
