Exchange Online Migration

In November 2018, UNH IT began migrating 6500 faculty and staff email mailboxes over to Exchange Online.

New Models for Purchasing Technology and Facilitating Repairs

On Friday, December 7, 2018, UNH closed the UNH Computer Store and Computer Repair Services. In their places, UNH IT worked diligently and swiftly to create the UNH Computer Purchasing Program and the IT Depot.

Adding Security for Digital Identities and UNH Data with SmartAuth

In Spring 2019, UNH IT engaged the process of adding SmartAuth 2-step verification to Webcat. SmartAuth is USNH’s multi-factor authentication service that acts as an additional layer of protection, improving the security for digital identities of faculty, staff and students while also adding more protection for UNH data, systems, and services.

Banner Student 9 Upgrade

In August 2018, UNH IT upgraded to Banner Student 9, and in the process, moved the UNH and GSC Banner Student production environments online. This upgrade allows over Banner Student users to access Banner from an internet browser.

UNH Cyber Security Center

The National Security Agency (NSA) / Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently granted UNH with an emerging CyberSecurity Center under the leadership of the Computer Science department.

Morse Hall Network Migration

IIn January 2019, UNH IT assumed operation of the Morse Hall Network network to eliminate duplicate services and to leverage the existing IT infrastructure for functions such as computer registration, intrusion detection, Voice of IP (VoIP), and other background services. Read more...
