UNH students share a laugh on T-Hall lawn

The Carsey School of Public Policy offers a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree program at UNH. This program provides students to acquire the skills necessary to excel in nonprofit and government management, including “the tools of leadership, program evaluation, budgets, planning, personnel, collective bargaining, and policy analysis.”

In FY19, the Carsey School announced it would allow those who acquired a Lean Green and Lean Black Belt Certification through UNH or the State of New Hampshire to waive graduate credits for the MPA program degree, representing $3,900 in savings. Those with Green Belt Certifications will receive three credits (one MPA course), and those with Black Belts will receive six credits (two MPA courses).

UNH IT worked with the Carsey School to bring this project to fruition, interviewing staff who provide training on both Lean and Six Sigma at the University and State level.
