UNH IT has a strong partnership with the UNH Research Computer Center. Together, they identify critical areas of technology expansion to support research, teaching, and learning. Since proposing and committing to seek grant funding and projects in the field of cyberinfrastructure (CI) in 2007, this development team has secured over $7M for CI projects that benefit UNH and the NH region.

UNH IT is currently investigating the increase of shared computation resources for science and engineering, the development of CI engineering skills and resources for researchers, the continued growth of storage in both the unsecured and secured environment, and big data management, movement, and archiving. Proposal development around the GenCyber Camp program, the National Science Foundation (NSF) Campus Cyberinfrastructure program for small institution cyberinfrastructure deployment, and the NSF CyberCorps program involve faculty from Computer Science and outside of UNH to expand the region with better resources.
