UNH IT provides on-site desktop consulting to UNH departments via contracts. By leveraging this support model, departments have access to the collective knowledge of UNH IT staff and best practices. IT Consultants provide localized services to meet the needs of clients in accordance with UNH IT standards. This approach ensures compliance with security standards and technology trends and provides visibility into new UNH IT initiatives. This service provides value to departments by having IT consultants who are managed and trained by UNH IT, are familiar with their environment, and backed up by a remote team of support professionals. This team is used to augment onsite consultants in the event of challenges requiring additional expertise or capacity to deal with support emergencies. In FY19, 9391 hours were dedicated to 49 departmental contracts.
