USNH Cybersecurity Ops & IAM, a division of USNH Cybersecurity & Networking (CS&N) is responsible for responding to and investigation of incidents involving USNH informaiton and information technology resources, including suspected data breaches, compromised user accounts or devices, and lost or stolen computers. 

Cybersecurity Incident Reporting

To report a cybersecurity incident:

Call the UNH IT Service Desk at 603-862-4242  and alert the support technician that you need to report an information security incident.

  • During the school year, calls are answered Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, Friday - 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM

  • During the summer, calls are answered Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM 


If you need to report an incident outside of these hours, call UNH Police Dispatch at 603-862-1427 and inform the dispatcher that you need to report an information security incident and are requesting they alert the UNH Information Security Officer.

Definitions for Reporting Requirement

The State of New Hampshire maintains specific statutes that require certain notifications to take place following an information technology security breach.  USNH Cybersecurity Ops & IAM, in conjunction with the USNH Chief Information Security Officer, is responsible for determining when notification to the state is required and handles all aspects of the notification process.
