UNH IT Academic Technology along with various departments has purchased several software packages for use by the entire campus. These applications are being used by faculty and students to enhance existing courses through the use of computer technology.

Academic Web Application Hosting

UNH Academic Technology hosts web applications which aid in coursework and facilitate other academic persuits. This service is offered by UNH AT to the academic community.


Antivirus software helps keep your workstation or server healthy and safe to use. Protect your data and your accounts from intrusion and yourself from frustration by using the latest antivirus programs made available to you from UNH IT

Audiovisual Equipment Rental and Delivery

Audiovisual Services has an impressive inventory to choose from. Our courteous staff will take your reservation and deliver, setup and breakdown equipment for you. Equipment is subject to availability, so please make your requests in advance. Equipment is free of charge to all UNH-registered courses, including equipment in conjunction with a course requirement (for example a presentation or assignment). A nominal is charged for extracurricular events.

Audiovisual Special Events

Audiovisual Services provides production for events of all sizes and scopes. Our work ranges from providing sound for the Traditional Jazz Series to sound and projection for academic symposia to transforming a large venue using sound, lighting and projection for an elegant gala dinner.

Cloud Storage and File Sharing

Box @ UNH is a service which enables you to store, collaborate and share information. Box @ UNH uses the platform; a cloud-based solution that can be accessed through any device: desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

Community Mailing Lists

UNH IT maintains a mailing list server to support the creation of opt-in community mailing lists.  Mailing lists at UNH are managed using Mailman, a popular open-source electronic Mailing List Management (MLM) program with an easy to use web interface. Any member of the UNH community may sponsor the creation of such a list. Computer Clusters

The UNH Student Computing Labs/Clusters provide Macintosh, Windows, and Linux computer systems free for use by all UNH faculty, staff, and students.

Computer Lab Management and Consulting

The Academic Computing Systems staff will provide consulting services on an hourly basis to install operating systems or software, configure equipment, or troubleshoot and repair software problems in computer labs.

Computer Repair Services provides computer hardware and software repair for UNH faculty, staff, and students.

Data Center Hosting

The Data Center offers a fully alarmed, generator-backed, and secure hosting service for servers, storage systems and other hardware that require either high availability or security.

Digital Signage

UNH TV hosts a series of display devices across the UNH Durham and Manchester campuses, designed to display informational content including digital posters, movies, social media, and emergency alerts via a single central portal.

Application hosting of various Enterprise Applications in support of the UNH Business, student and faculty community.

FAMIS Self Service

FAMIS Self-Service enables faculty, staff, and students to enter non-emergency facilities and key service requests, as well as view the status of existing requests.

In Person Support

The Academic Technology Support Center (ATSC) is a walk-in service desk for Faculty and Students.

Parent Billing and Payment

The Parent Portal Billing and Payments service is a self service application enabling student-authorized users to view biling account information, bills, and make payments.

Parker Media Lab

The Parker Media Lab and Multimedia Center support the instruction and research needs of UNH's faculty and students by providing facilities, collections and expertise for researching, viewing and producing a wide range of media.

Password Management

The Password Self Service Application provides tools for managing IT account passwords.

myPages is a free website building tool available to students, faculty, and staff at the University of New Hampshire.

Public Printing

The printers in the Clusters, Libraries, and elsewhere on campus are available for anyone who would like to use them.

Rich Media Consultation

Rich Media consultation is available to help faculty assign rich media projects and use media as a part of their teaching. Media & Collaboration Services also supports student use and creation for both academic and personal use. We're happy to discuss the pedagogy behind your use of media and how to successfully work it into your course without it feeling tacked on.

UNH Information Security is available to assist in responding to and investigating incidents related to misuse or abuse of UNH IT resources.

Storage Access Management

Kumo allows users mount Box @ UNH accounts and UNH fileshares as mapped drives, just like a C: drive. Kumo brings together the security and benefits of Box @ UNH with the convenience of a mapped drive.

The Parker Media Lab provides all of the equipment needed to produce anything from the most basic audio and video tasks to advanced rich media projects.

Web conference tools allow faculty to connect online with their students using web-based tools and does not require anyone to be in a specific location to use.

Web and Application Development and Design services include Drupal development, information architecture, and systems integration.

Web Surveying

UNH has licensed the Qualtrics Survey Research Suite, a Web-based survey and data analysis service. This license provides the UNH community with a set of powerful online survey and research tools, and allows an unlimited number of surveys and survey responses annually. Our license also includes Offline Survey capabilities for use with tablet or smartphone devices. All UNH students, faculty, and staff are permitted to use the service for coursework, research, and all other University-related business.

Web Updates and Database Management

The Web and Mobile Development team has annual Service Level Agreement (SLA) maintenance contracts to assist you with updating your website and managing your database.
