Audiovisual Equipment Rental and Delivery

Audiovisual Services has an impressive inventory to choose from. Our courteous staff will take your reservation and deliver, setup and breakdown equipment for you. Equipment is subject to availability, so please make your requests in advance. Equipment is free of charge to all UNH-registered courses, including equipment in conjunction with a course requirement (for example a presentation or assignment). A nominal is charged for extracurricular events.

Authentication Services

A variety of authentication strategies, including single sign-on (SSO) capabilities, multifactor authentication, and directory services are available to meet the wide range of authentication needs across the University’s diverse population.

Automated Call Distribution (ACD)

Telecommunications provides Automated Call Distribution (ACD) which allows calls coming in to a department telephone number to be distributed among a designated pool of telephones, allowing multiple staff to handle the incoming call volume.

Banner Finance is an administrative application that supports the financial reporting needs of USNH.

Banner Finance Document Retention

Banner Document Retention improves efficiency and compliance with integrated document disposition. BDR helps to identify and purge expired documents and related metadata. It will be used to articulate retention policies based on Banner data and metadata. BDR will reduce errors and overhead from manual file purge processes along with be able to manage the document lifecycle and legal risks.

Telecommunications provides Extension to Cellular (EC500) solution which offers the freedom to work anywhere, anytime, using your cell phone. With EC500, calls to your office number are extended to your cell phone, allowing you to choose to receive work-related calls on your cell phone.

Cloud Storage and File Sharing

Box @ UNH is a service which enables you to store, collaborate and share information. Box @ UNH uses the Box.com platform; a cloud-based solution that can be accessed through any device: desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

Community Mailing Lists

UNH IT maintains a mailing list server to support the creation of opt-in community mailing lists.  Mailing lists at UNH are managed using Mailman, a popular open-source electronic Mailing List Management (MLM) program with an easy to use web interface. Any member of the UNH community may sponsor the creation of such a list. Consulting: Public Safety Video Cameras

Video cameras that are installed at the University of New Hampshire for safety and law enforcement purposes and video data from such cameras must comply with the Public Safety Video Camera System (PSVCS) standard. The standard applies to all University campuses and off-campus properties as well as all departments and individuals. New camera installations must comply with the standard; existing cameras and installations are required to migrate to the standard when upgraded, or sooner if otherwise appropriate.

The Data Center offers a fully alarmed, generator-backed, and secure hosting service for servers, storage systems and other hardware that require either high availability or security.

UNH offers Sophos SafeGuard Encryption which is an IT managed enterprise encryption solution for the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. There is no cost to encrypt computers for UNH/USNH employees.

Exchange is a collaboration and messaging platform offering email, calendaring, and address book access.

Website Hosting is provided and managed for Web and Mobile development clients through partnerships with Academic Computing Services.

Web Surveying

UNH has licensed the Qualtrics Survey Research Suite, a Web-based survey and data analysis service. This license provides the UNH community with a set of powerful online survey and research tools, and allows an unlimited number of surveys and survey responses annually. Our license also includes Offline Survey capabilities for use with tablet or smartphone devices. All UNH students, faculty, and staff are permitted to use the service for coursework, research, and all other University-related business.
