AT Projects 2018

Academic Technology has begun work on a range of projects and services that will impact students, faculty, and staff. Successful completion of these projects and implementation of these services will improve UNH's communication, searching, administration, and teaching and learning capabilities. We are developing communication plans for these projects that will target those who use the service(s). Analysis and Review of Faculty CRM Data

Analyze Faculty CRM database for patterns and themes that could improve AT operations, faculty professional development opportunities, partnerships, or other areas of importance to our faculty. Analyze skills and confidence survey of FISTI Alumni to determine baseline confidence scores for respondents.

Open Educational Resources

Execute on recommendations from 2016-17 leadership retreat including adoption metics.

  • Identify next class of 15 OER Ambassadors.
  • Report findings for: Savings realized by students enrolled in the course that adopted OER/Library resources; Faculty success in identifying and incorporating OER materials; Faculty satisfaction with the support and services offered through the OER project (through survey and focus group); and Student satisfaction with the course/modules materials; other research areas in consultation with CEITL and Ambassadors.
  • Conduct capacity building for OER including developing a student survey.
  • Conduct marketing efforts to raise awareness among student groups, faculty, administration, and student services organizations.

Drupal 8 Implementation

Develop plan for migrating Drupal 7 sites to Drupal 8 including projected timeline for launch dates for all sites.

UNH Online Process Standardization - OLC Quality Review Strategy

Using OLC Quality review instrument, review current state of online support and services at UNH.

Kaltura - MediaSpace Implementation

Complete configuration of MediaSpace including defining roles for various campus groups.  Draft governance standards for review by Digital Governance groups once in place.  Provide documentation for basic functions of viewing, adding, and sharing video content via MediaSpace.  Promote availability of the service.

Lecture Capture Review and Recommendation

Review Tegrity, CaptureSpace, hardware solutions, and possible new tools from Kaltura to decide what options offer the most functionality, easiest use experience for faculty and students, and least cost to UNH.

Transition Teaching Evaluation Process to New Software and AT Support Structure

AT currently working with PMO/IR&A to "fast track" Explorance Blue. Will continue work for Summer Session. Official transition to AT as Service owner for Fall 2017.

Transition Faculty Activity Reporting to New Software and AT Support Structure.

Complete transition of all system administration and user support from the PMO to AT.  This will include launching the product for UNH Law, offering the deep Canvas integration for Spring 2018, automation of the course and user data loads, creation of self-help materials for faculty, academic administrators, and students, and creation of a hands on training/support approach for TEV coordinators.
