UNH IT has received several reports of problems using ApplicationXtender BPRD this morning. Our System Administration team is aware of the issue, and is working to resolve it. We will provide an update as soon as we have one.

UNH experienced a loss in connectivity to many networked resources from 11:45 AM - 12:25 PM. Network administrators have resolved the issue and connectivity is being restored to all affected systems.

Starting at 11:45 AM, some TeamDynamix users began intermittently experiencing slowness or loss of access to the application. System administrators are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it.

Access to the UNH VPN has been managed/resolved. Users who continue to have connectivity issues are urged to call the IT Service Desk at 603-862-4242.

UNH IT Administrators have identified the issue is a result of a recent Windows patch. While Microsoft has recognized the issue and is working to correct the problem, we do not have a timeline on a fix from them, so UNH IT is offering workarounds. Some users have reported issues connecting to the UNH VPN or IT resources requiring the UNH VPN. UNH IT Administrators are aware of the issue and working on a resolution.

Due to a system upgrade, the following applications will be unavailable from Friday, January 5 at 5:00PM - Monday, January 8 at 7:30AM.

Systems include:

  • IT Support webforms
  • TeamDynamix webforms
  • IT Chat Support (Bomgar)
  • Remote Desktop Support (Bomgar)
  • TeamDynamix
  • CAMP
  • Remedy
  • Computer Repair Services App

During the maintenance, access to some UNH IT websites may be intermittent.

Maintenance has been scheduled for TeamDynamix webforms today at noon and should be complete within an hour. During the maintenance, webforms which submit tickets to TDx will be unavailable.

Due to several recent events including multiple spear phishing attacks targeting UNH students, UNH is experiencing a high volume of student accounts being used to send spam and phishing emails.  When a student email account is found to be sending unauthorized emails, the students email account is locked and their UNH account is secured.  Once an account is secured, students are unable to access any UNH resources including myCourses and WebCat until they contact the UNH IT Service Desk or visit the Academic Technology Service Center in Dimond library.  Unfortunately, at this time, restoration of UNH access does not unlock the student email account and it may take several days for students with locked email accounts to regain the ability to send email.  
 
Based on the issues outlined above, UNH IT is asking all UNH students to change their UNH password immediately.  This is the best way to ensure you do not lose access to any UNH resources during the remaining of finals or during winter break.
 
It is important that students follow the instructions found on the following UNH IT web page. You can get to this page by copying and pasting this URL (https://www.unh.edu/it/news/2017/12/security-alert-password-change-requi...) into your browser.  Following the instructions outlined at this URL will ensure your UNH password is changed across all UNH systems that utilize it.

UNH IT has received reports of a phishing email targeting all UNH users that seeks to obtain UNH usernames and passwords via a fake Outlook Web Access log in page. The subject of the email is "Message from Human Resources Department" and the email may come from a UNH email address.

If you received this email, please delete it.
