Carolyn Tobin

Dr. Carolyn Tobin is an assistant professor of nursing at the University of New Hampshire. Before coming to UNH six years ago, Tobin earned her Ph.D. and taught at Trinity College Dublin, in her native land of Ireland. Tobin is a nurse midwife; therefore her teaching focuses on maternal and newborn care. Her current research focuses on postpartum depression as experienced by women who are refugees or immigrants. Tobin has mentored undergraduate research students before, but Julianne was her first IROP researcher and Inquiry author. Tobin stated of Julianne, “I gained immense satisfaction from seeing her growth and development over the course of the project, and hearing how much she gained both personally and professionally from this experience.”
