Why did you choose to become an Apartment Manager?

During college, I loved the devotion and support I received from the Residence Life team, and their commitment and energy really inspired me to be a part of the Residence Life team and to eventually pursue it as a career. The hands-on experiences, the ability to meet and work with students on a more personal level, and the opportunity to help students come into their own and grow as individuals are parts of the role that enjoy every day.

Why did you choose to work for Housing at the University of New Hampshire?

UNH is a role model for many progressive changes in regards to Diversity & Inclusion and residential education. It is so nice to be able to work with a team that is so willing to listen and learn in light of many of the issues facing marginalized groups, and implement those lessons in their policies, education, and community.

What advice would you give to students?

Get involved with activities and programs on campus. I can never recommend it enough. Being involved on campus is a great way to get recognized by future references and employers, and in doing so you also have the amazing opportunity to engage with and learn things about the community and the world in a new light.
