About Me

Why did you choose to become a Hall Director?
One of the main purposes of higher education is for the students to grow and develop holistically. This can be done through continuous challenge and support, conduct, co-curricular programming, and genuine conversation and connection. I believe that a Hall Director can be a great guide in this process for students. Additionally, I enjoy the opportunity to connect students to other resources, services, and opportunities across campus and believe the Hall Director position will give me the opportunity to do just that. Last but not least, I love working with student leaders (Resident Assistants) and helping these students learn how to build community across campus, as well as develop both personally and professionally.

Why did you choose to work for Res Life at the University of New Hampshire?
The main reason that I choose to work for Res Life at UNH is the culture of the office and overall UNH community. From the moment I stepped foot on campus I felt welcomed and supported by the central staff and other Hall Directors. From this moment, I knew this is where I wanted to be. Further, I appreciated the Residential Curriculum and felt that this curriculum would lead to holistic student development.

What advice would you give to students?
The biggest piece of advice that I would give to students is to become comfortable being uncomfortable (within reason). Join a new club, apply for that internship, study abroad. These moments of discomfort will be the ultimate cause of your personal and professional growth and your future self will be happy you took that leap.
