Why did you choose to become a Hall Director?
When I went to college, I was so fortunate to have residence life members around that took the time to invest in my success. With their help, I was able to build confidence in myself and truly develop into a leader on my campus. I would not be the person I am today without living in my residential community and having these folks around to make my time in the halls amazing. I chose to become a Hall Director because I want to invest in students like I had residential life staff invest in me. I love being there for students and this is an amazing position that allows me to do that!
Why did you choose to work for Res Life at the University of New Hampshire?
The Residential Life staff here at the University of New Hampshire care so deeply about students. The passion that each member of the Res Life team has for making the student experience at UNH incredible is contagious and aligns well with my own personal and professional values. After interviewing with the department, I knew that there was no other place I wanted to be!
What advice would you give to students?
This is your time to experience new adventures and I’d encourage you to explore! There are so many ways to get involved in campus leadership, get professional experience, and make new friends with great people. Embrace challenge and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. This is an exciting time to try new things and see what you enjoy most about being at UNH
