The Outdoor Recreation Area is a beautiful 200-acre site just nine miles from Durham. The pond is located on the Little River, a tributary of the Lamprey River and part of the larger Piscataqua River watershed. The Area is perfect for boating and picnicking. Two picnic pavilions are provided and canoes and paddle boats are available for rent. Swimming is permitted, however, there are no lifeguards on duty.
How To Access:
A Mendums Pond pass must be obtained to use the area's facilities. To obtain or buy a pass, please visit the Hamel Recreation Center front desk. For questions please call 862-2031.
