Healthy UNH actively engages in the promotion of, and education about, nutrition that positively influences offerings, individual choices, and community well-being. We do this by:
- Cultivating partnerships across the UNH community to develop a culture of healthy eating;
- Promoting the many nutritional initiatives in place across the UNH campuses; and
- Educating the UNH community about the role of nutrition in supporting healthy lifestyles.

Menus of Change
UNH is one of 37 university dining programs to join the Menus of Change initiative, working to advance healthier, more sustainable life-long food choices among students and faculty.

Hydration Stations
As part of its commitment to the Partnership for a Healthier America, UNH worked to expand the implementation of hydration stations across campus, making free water accessible to all.

Nutrition Counseling
Healthy UNH works to promote healthy and sustainable relationships to nutrition. In working with UNH Dining's registered dietician and Health and Wellness, UNH offers nutrition education and counseling services.
Food Repurposing Project
UNH is partnering with Gather, a community organization dedicated to ending hunger, to repurpose rescued wholesome food.
Guiding Stars Program
UNH Dining introduced the Guiding Stars® program in an effort to inform students, faculty and staff about the most nutritious food choices.
Healthier Catering
At the heart of our catering operation is the strong connection to both the UNH community and the local area. One of the reasons that we enjoy customizing menus for events is that we can source as many local and seasonal ingredients as possible.
Swipe It Forward
Swipe it Forward is a program for UNH undergraduate and graduate students who are challenged by food insecurity to simply and confidentially request and receive meal swipes for use during the academic semesters at any of the three dining halls or as a Meal to Go.
The Waysmeet Center
The Cornucopia Food Pantry is located at 15 Mill Road in Durham, NH, inside The Waysmeet Center on the UNH campus.
Wildcat Plate
In June 2012, Healthy UNH partnered with UNH's Dining Services to launch the Wildcat Plate, a UNH-specific portion plate, to be used in campus dining halls.
