9 to 90 Documentary

The Center on Aging and Community Living  has a lending library which includes the film 9 to 90, which is a documentary about family caregiving. It can be utilized as a tool to help facilitate conversations with loved ones about aging with dignity in the modern age. 

Person Centered Planning Trainings

Person Centered Planning is made up of tools and approaches to help a person receiving care have choice and control in how services are delivered. Trainings are offered multiple times a year. Unpaid caregivers, professional staff, medical staff, and other paid caregivers are encouraged to attend. Trainings are perfect for people who provide any type of support to another person, regardless of age.

UNH Caregiver Group

This is a monthly group of UNH staff and faculty to support one another around caregiver issues. Center on Aging and Community Living  organizes the meetings and some educational/resource opportunities for members.

Age of Champions Annual Health Fair

Center on Aging and Community Living (CACL) is the educational license holder of the documentary Age of Champions. Faculty and Staff may request permission to borrow the film for educational purposes. Additionally, CACL and the Recreation Management and Policy Department organize an annual event around healthy aging. The event is open to UNH staff and faculty as well as the community. This event brings together vendors and activities focused on health, active aging. All ages are welcome because "It's Never too Soon to Age Well!" 

Gass Climbing Center

The UNH Outdoor Education Major and the Department of Kinesiology oversee the Gass Climbing Center. A 45' x 65' artificial climbing wall located in New Hampshire Hall. The wall is used for numerous academic courses in the Outdoor Education Major, group programs for both on and off campus groups as well as for open recreation to the UNH community.
