UNH Employee Fitness Program

The Employee Fitness Program (EFP) provides two opportunities to employees to improve their fitness: an individualized, one-year program, and an exercise facility for individual use on a come and go bases. 

The EFP is housed in the Field House overlooking the main gym floor on the UNH-Durham campus and is approximately 3,600 square feet in size.  The EFP offers fitness development and programming opportunities for employees at no cost. A wide variety of state-of-the-art aerobic, strength, balance exercise training equipment is available. 

Peripheral Artery Disease Exercise Program

The Peripheral Artery Disease Exercise Program is for individuals with a clinical diagnosis of peripheral artery disease (PAD). It is for anyone with this condition who wishes to improve overall health and well-being through exercise and education about lifestyle modification for the improvement of symptoms usually felt with normal activities of daily living. Exercise testing and prescriptions are developed and monitored according to a research-proven PAD exercise protocol and the individual’s needs and goals.

Food Safety

Women's Health Care

Clinical Services include annual examinations, diagnosis and treatment of abnormal pap smears, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy testing and counseling, contraceptive services, and limited sexual assault services. Women's health counseling is also provided. Health Services also offers education, a resource library and online resources. Education/information are free to the UNH community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.

Wellness Coaching and Education

Wellness educators/counselors are available to discuss personal wellness, which may include topics such as physical, social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, intellectual, occupational, and financial wellness. Education, a resource library, and online resources also are available. Education/information are free to UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost.

Travel Health Clinic

Whether you are traveling abroad for fun or for academic/professional reasons, all your medical travel needs can be met conveniently at Health Services during the academic year through the state-approved travel clinic. It is recommended that you schedule your travel clinic visit at least 4-6 weeks before you plan to leave. If students have paid the health fee, visits to the travel clinic are covered, immunizations are charged at a reduced rate.

Nicotine Cessation, Education and Counseling

Health Services offers many tobacco cessation options such as nicotine replacement therapy, hypnosis, medical acupuncture, and prescription medication. Education, the resource library, and online resources are available. Education/information are free to the UNH community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health services fee.

Sleep Management Skills

Wellness educators/counselors are available to discuss sleep and stress management. Education, the resource library, and online resources also available. Education/information services are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is also available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost.

Sexually Transmitted Infections Counseling, Testing and Education

Counseling, testing, and treatment, as well as free condoms (latex, polyurethane, incentive), dental dams, and lubricant are available for students.  Education, a resource library, and online resources are also available. Education/information are free to the UNH Community. Counseling is available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.
