Academic Support

If academic performance is affected by illness, students can consult with the community health nurse to learn about their academic options. This program is available at no additional cost to students who have paid the health fee. There is a fee for students who have not paid the health fee.

Military & Veteran Services Center

The Military and Veterans Services Office is located in Hood House, room G15. Office hours are 0800 to 1630 Monday through Friday. This office can help with general benefit questions, assistance in navigating the university and accessing services, support and advocate on issues important to vets, connect you with your Advisor, and suggest services that can aid you in decisions about majors and careers. To ease the transition from soldier to student, the office has social events, and helps you connect with other students, faculty and staff.

Incident Report Form (IRF)

If you have observed, experienced or been provided information about an incident of sexual harassment, and, or sexual violence, discrimination, harassment, retaliation or bias, please report the incident by contacting the Affirmative Action and Equity Office at(603) 862-2930 Voice / TTY Users 7-1-1 or submit a report via the Incident Report Form (IRF). Anonymous reports may be submitted with the exception of Mandatory Reporters.

The USNH Employee Assistance Program is run by APS Healthcare. They provide referrals, counseling, and online resources on subjects such as parenting education, work-life balance, family issues, elder care, substance abuse issues, and difficult transitions.

Gender Identity/ Expression, Gender Affirming Medical Services, Education and Counseling

Transgender students and employees will find a safe haven within Health Services.  Basic medical services and referrals to specialists for care available.  Education, a resource library, and online resources are available. Education/information is free to the UNH Community. Counseling available to students who have paid the health fee, at no additional cost. Students who have not paid the health services fee have an additional cost.

Financial Management Education

Health Services provides information on financial wellness and resources for those seeking assistance with personal finance. The CashCourse website has information on managing finances.  Counseling is available for free to students who have paid the health fee and is available at a cost to students who have not paid the health fee. A Resource Library is available at Health Services and online resources are also available.

Nutrition Counseling

Health Services provides Nutritional counseling with a registered and licensed dietitian for students struggling with an eating concern and is free for students who have paid the health fee. Support and information for concerned friends and families is also available, including Eating Concerns Mentors, who are UNH students trained to provide support, resources and referral to students struggling with eating concerns/body image issues. A Resource Library is available at Health Services and online resources are also available.
