Reiki Your Stress Away!

Stressed? UNH has the perfect solution to help you relax

The New Year is a time to focus on your well-being. However, it is also a time that can be stressful and tiring. Make it your goal this new year to set some time aside for YOU. Reiki may be the solution to your everyday stressors. It is open to the entire UNH community.

Reiki is based on the idea that we all have energy that allows us to be well. When that energy is off balance, we are more likely to become ill or unhappy. The stressors in your life may be throwing your energy off balance.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During a session the Reiki practitioner will ask you what issues you would like to address. From there the practitioner will practice “the laying on the hands”. To do this, he or she will place their hands on 12 different parts on the front and back called "chakras," or energy centers, and will leave them there for around five minutes each. This will balance the body’s energy and promote healing.

Take one hour out of your workday to spend time healing the underlying causes of your stress and fatigue. We want you to spend less time running around, and more time being present in the moment, so you can enjoy all the opportunities the New Year has to offer.
