Be Mindful Around The Table This Thanksgiving

The thought of Thanksgiving and other holidays sneaking up on us can be stressful to some people. What am I going to make? How am I going to have time to prepare for such an elaborate meal? Thanksgiving is all about spending time with loved ones. You should be able to relax and enjoy the moments you are sharing with your family and friends. Do you find yourself struggling to be present during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season? Here are some great tips if you find yourself forgetting the true meaning of Thanksgiving:

  1. Mindset - Before travelling to a friend's or family member's house, or if you're hosting, take 5 minutes to breathe and switch to a relaxed, peaceful mindset. Release any stress you have and get ready to enjoy your time. 
  2. Eat your favorite foods - Thanksgiving is the best food holiday of the year. Don't skip out on your favorite food just to be "healthy." Instead, mindfully eat an appropriate portion and slowly savor and enjoy every single bite. 
  3. Appreciate everyone around you - Be aware of everyone that surrounds you this Thanksgiving and be grateful for every single one of them.
