How Healthy UNH Outdoors Can Bring Out Your Adventurous Side!

The snow is starting to melt and the weather is getting warm! Soon spring will be here and the opportunity to go outside will be upon us. Being outside provides multiple health benefits such as;

1. Sun exposure increases Vitamin D levels, which can help reduce risk of osteoporosis.

2. Being outdoors promotes exercise!

3. Natural light from the sun elevates mood.

Being an employee of UNH gives you the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and explore nature with the Healthy UNH Outdoors Program. This program is for all skill levels and there are instructors at each program who will teach you if you do not know how to do one of the activities! There are different types of programs such as kayaking, hiking, paddle boarding, and more! No equipment is needed, because the program provides it for you, and depending on the program the cost can be free!
