Come learn more about how group fitness classes are the new in!

Go ahead and put on your appropriate workout attire and shuffle down to the Field House for professionally led fitness classes. The Wildcat Workout Project is held in the Field House and encourages UNH Employees, as well as any dependents over the age of 18, to come fully energized and ready to work up a sweat!

These fitness classes were created to allow the employees at UNH to feel less stressed when working out. Since the Field House is just steps away from your work desks, there shouldn’t be any excuses when it comes to working out! 

No matter how comfortable you feel working out, come join Craig Edwards, the Strength Coach at UNH Athletics, as he creates different exercises that will be manageable for everyone. His main goal is to allow everyone who shows up to have a successful experience and feel accomplished by the time they walk out of the door. There are many different training exercises that is targeted at working different areas of the body, some of which include:

  • Cardio 
  • Strength
  • Core 
  • Flexibility 

According to Livestrong, participating in group fitness classes is extremely beneficial. Fitness classes are a perfect opportunity to push oneself beyond what they're capable of, work a sweat and reach out to different individuals who are participating in the class for the same reasons. 

Participating in the Wildcat Workout Project is a perfect opportunity to eliminate the stress built up from long work days. Leave your desk and drive seconds down the street to participate in these fitness classes that will allow you to feel completely satisfied once the class comes to an end.

There's no need to sign up so just walk right into the Field House and go straight to the Jerry Azumah Strength Center! Come before work at 6:30 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays or in the middle of the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon! Fill out a liability waiver before your first class, which can be found here.  

Do yourself a favor and make time to participate and you won't have any regrets!
