3 Reasons Why a Group Fitness Class Should be a Part of Your Daily Routine

Are you unsure about how to use the equipment at the gym? Is there not enough time in your busy day to workout? Look no further because group fitness may be the answer for you!  We understand that going to the gym can be intimidating. It seems like everyone there knows exactly what to do! It can be time consuming to walk around the gym and figure out how you are going to break a sweat.

Exercising should be a time dedicated just to you, where you can relieve some stress and not think about much.

Here are 3 reasons why you should try a group fitness class:

  1. Proper form: participating in a group fitness class means you will be following an instructor. He or she will walk around the room multiple times to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly.
  2. Group Fitness is challenging: While taking a group fitness class the instructor will constantly push you where your body can go. You are full of great potential, so why not show everyone what you got and challenge yourself?
  3. The classes are FUN: Yes, group fitness classes are extremely fun. There is great music playing, high energy, and everyone is there for the same reason, which is to sweat!

Check out UNH Campus Recreation for a schedule of their group fitness classes being offered everyday. The variety of class times makes it easy to fit in a workout at any time of the day!

UNH Campus Recreation offers a wide variety of classes ranging from yoga and Pilates all the way to cycle and H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training).

Want a Fitness Challenge?

Here it is: On the days you would normally be working out in the gym, try a new group fitness class! Try a different class every time to keep things interesting. By doing this you will be able to figure out what you classes you like the most.

Ditch the elliptical, stair master, treadmill and endless crunches and try a group fitness class! You will stay motivated, meet new people, and have fun all while breaking a sweat!
