Are You an Employee Looking to Exercise? Well Look No Further UNH Has Got You Covered!

In 1988, UNH created the Employee Fitness Program (EFP).  The EFP was established for faculty and staff that was interested in participating in exercise testing and training.  The EFP provides real life laboratory situations for undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Kinesiology/Exercise sciences.  The employees who choose to participate in this program go through a variety of testings such as: fitness testing, graded exercise testing, pulmonary function testing, body composition testing and blood lipid assessment.  Personal training, exercise prescription, program development, data collection and data tracking are also all encompassed in this program.

This is a great way for you to get in shape, stay healthy and track your healthy-lifestyle progress.

So where exactly is this wonderful exercise program located that is going to cost you zero dollars? The 3,600 square feet facility is located In the Field House on UNH-Durham campus.  The exercise equipment included in this facility are True treadmills, LifeFitness exercise cycles, StarTrac and Octane elliptical trainers, StairMaster step machines, Schwinn AirDyne cycles, Expresso cycles, Concept II rowers, Nautilus strength stations, free weights and an assortment of core and balance training equipment.  The hours of the facility are Monday-Friday 6:00-8:00 A.M., and 11:00 A.M. – 6:30 P. M.

If you are an employee and don’t want to participate in the program don’t you worry! The program is not mandatory.  Faculty and staff can use the facility without enrolling in the Employee Fitness Program.

When you have free time or your work day is done, get up from your desk and start making your way over to the field house for a great work out!
