“More than half of the U.S. population lives within five miles of their workplace, making bicycling a feasible and fun way to get to work.”


May 15th is Bike to Work Day at UNH; and what better way to celebrate the warm weather than an enjoyable bike ride. Whether you take advantage of the bike lanes on the street, or want to go for a ride during your lunch break, biking is an easy way to get the recommended 150 minutes of physical activity. Your commute could become the best part of your day!

  3. Biking to work is an easy way to get to get the recommended day amount of cardio activity!

If you are unable to bike to work, consider incorporating it into your weekend.

To celebrate National Bike Week, grab your kids and take a bike ride around your neighborhood. 

Join us as we celebrate the Seacoast's 13th annual alternative transportation week here at UNH Durham campus!

May 11-15, 2015: Corporate Commuter Challenge

This event challenges Seacoast employers to compete to see who can get the most employees to ride or walk to work! UNH has won in previous years, let's do it again! To be counted, you must register on the SABR website, and join the "University of New Hampshire team".

May 15, 2015: Free Commuter Breakfast

Join us in front of New Hampshire Hall, from 7:00-9:00am on Friday, May 15 for a FREE breakfast for all employees who bike or walk to UNH that day! To be entered into the raffle from local bike shops, register here for the breakfast.
