Stressed about making it to the gym before dinner or getting in a late night run? It can be difficult to find the motivation needed to exercise with busy holiday schedules and winter weather. Wouldn’t it be easier if you could exercise while at work? With Employee Get Fit Week, you can workout at work for free during the week of January 12th through January 16th at the UNH Campus Recreation Center! With the start of the new year, it is important to set fitness goals as part of your overall healthy lifestyle. There is evidence to support that physical activity can improve alertness and boost mood throughout the day. Even a brief workout increases blood circulation to the brain, elevating levels of dopamine to decrease stress and help you sustain focus. Building physical activity into your daily routine will not only have significant mental health effects, but will help you to be consistent. It is now easy to fit exercise into your daily workout routine with the UNH recreation facilities located right on campus. Take advantage of all that Campus Recreation Center has to offer while the students are away.

There are many options available for any fitness interests that you may have. Walk on the indoor track, take an aerobics class, try out yoga, play a pickup game of basketball or use the equipment in the fitness center. Check out the schedule of classes for this special week here. And it's simple. Just bring your UNH ID, and just fill out some paperwork at the Campus Rec front desk to workout at work!
