Tips For Having A Better Breakfast

September is National Breakfast Month, so this month we encourage you to think about what you’re eating in the morning. If you don’t usually eat healthy in the morning, this month try making a change and having a better breakfast.  

When you wake up in the morning, sometimes it’s easiest to just grab a granola bar or have a bowl of cereal. However, what you eat for breakfast can impact your performance in the classroom and at work for the rest of the day. Starting with a healthy and nutritious breakfast enables you to kickstart your metabolism, and it keeps you fueled throughout the day. 

Although it can be hard to plan ahead, there are lots of breakfast recipes online that can be prepared the night before or made quickly in the morning. Try these ideas:

Overnight Oats
Smoothies
Microwave Scrambled Eggs
Yogurt Parfait
Make Ahead Quiche

This month, try making a change to your morning routine and eating a better breakfast. It will keep you fueled longer and leave you feeling full until lunch.
