Learn Why You Should Never Skip Breakfast.

Breakfast is a critical meal because it influences practically every dimension of our being during the course of the day, including how we perform physically and mentally. Breakfast immediately raises the body’s energy level and restores the blood glucose to a normal level.

Eating breakfast jumpstarts your metabolism, therefore helping you burn more calories throughout the day. When you skip breakfast, your body will conserve the calories you consume, rather than burn them.

While sleeping, your body is at rest and is “fasting.” If you do not eat in the morning, you will not get the energy needed to get through the day. Consuming a nutritious breakfast maintains blood sugar levels and prevents overeating later in the day. A nutritious breakfast should include:

  • Whole grains
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Lean protein such as eggs
