An Egg A Day Keeps the Doctor Away

Eggs are one of my favorite foods to eat! They are easy to prepare, they can be made in a variety of ways, and they are an excellent choice for a health conscience meal. The month of May is National Egg Month. This is a time to acknowledge what an easy, nutritional, and beneficial food eggs can be and why we should consume them more often. Here are some tips on why you should be eating your eggs!

  1. When You Look Good You Feel Good : Eggs are an incredible source of protein. They are an important type of food because they are essential for building and maintaining lean body mass.
  2. Contain Nutrients: Eggs not only taste good, but are good for you too! One egg contains about 13 varying vitamins and minerals that help with bone health, immune function, cell function, and the development of a fetus during pregnancy.
  3. Delicious and Nutritious: In today’s society people feel a lot of pressure to lose weight; the first step is usually a diet. Luckily, eggs fit into all healthy dietary patterns, and are only 70 calories. They are not only delicious and nutritious, but filling as well.
