Stressed out? Consider Massage Therapy

College is an exciting time full of new discoveries, new friendships, and new experiences.  It can also be pretty stressful.

Although feeling stressed is a normal feeling that most people deal with, the cumulative effects of stress can be detrimental to your health.  Luckily, Health Services has many different ways to help manage stress.

One resource to help handle stress is massage therapy. According to the Health Services website, “Massage therapy is a form of bodywork that is used to improve function within the body. By using their hands in a variety of different techniques, massage therapists manipulate the soft tissues in the body to promote relaxation and improved circulation. Massage therapy is also used to promote general health and well-being in the client, and to prevent future medical issues.”

Health Services offers traditional and hot stone massages and are available by appointment. Appointments can be made by calling (603) 862-382, using the online system, or by stopping by Health Services, Room 249.
