1. What does health mean to you?
Health to me is an overall feeling of wellness and satiety in life. It's the ability to perform activities of daily of living without pain and with an overall happy outlook on life
2. What do you do to make a healthy UNH?
To make a healthy UNH I make time for working out by going to the gym before class, and I avoid taking the bus. I also take advantage of the many healthy options within UNH dining.
3. How do you stay fit?
I exercise 6 days a week. I mostly enjoy weight lifting and cardiovascular training. I also teach a lot of classes so I sometimes get an extra workout in while teaching.
4. Do you have any tips for eating healthfully?
Educate yourself. UNH offers a lot of healthy options at the dining hall, learn what is best and how to create your own delicious meals!
5. How do you find motivation to stay healthy?
My motivation to stay fit comes from my desire to feel and look healthy. I get energy from being active and eating a well-balanced diet.
6. Have you made any tangible improvements to your physical or mental well-being by making positive changes in your life?
Yes, recently I have taken initiative become more self-aware. I find time to look at the positive things in life and find ways to improve upon the negative rather than stressing.
7. Anything else you would like to add that might encourage others on campus to make health efforts too?
Find your own niche and opportunities and always have a positive outlook. You are only as unhealthy and stressed as you make yourself.
