The Most Common And Costly Diseases That Exist Today Are Also The Most Preventable

Various chronic diseases, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and obesity are the most common health problems in America today. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), chronic diseases are responsible for 7 in 10 deaths among Americans each year, and the majority of health care costs. These diseases may be the most common and costly, but they are also in fact the most preventable.

Our behaviors are the primary determinants of our own health, well-being, and longevity. Rather than focusing on ways to treat disease, it is crucial to focus on steps that you can take in your daily life to prevent these health problems.
