Wake Up On The Right Side Of The Bed

Waking up in a bad mood can ruin your whole day. By creating a simple wake-up routine, you can kick-start your morning and set the tone for the rest of the day. Your morning routine is a personal one, so what works for you won’t work for someone else - and if you don’t like something, change it. However, it should only take 1-2 hours at the most, so you can have a productive and positive for the remainder of the day.

To create a successful morning routine, it is important to smart small. Small changes will set you up for success and they are easier to stick with. So, where to start? Pick 3-4 practices from this list (or think of your own) and begin tomorrow morning!

  • Wake up at the same time every morning
  • Drink a glass of water first thing
  • Do pushups as soon as you get out of bed
  • Eat a balanced breakfast within 1 hour of waking up 
  • Go to the gym 
  • Read a book
  • Write in a journal
  • Plan out your day
  • Meditate for 10 minutes
  • Enjoy a mug of coffee or tea in solitude
  • Try yoga

These small actions can help you have the best day possible. In the fast-paced, crazy world we live in, any bit of normalcy and routine can give you pause and grounding. So, enjoy your practice, and get ready to see the benefits!
