It's time to reflect on the state of your own mental health and try something new that could help you cope with some of the daily struggles in your life.

The Huffington Post states that anyone could benefit from therapy, even if they are the healthiest person in the world. The article states that “therapy can help you handle emotions from problems or stressors, even if they aren’t dramatically life-altering or traumatic.” Do not underestimate your own emotional, physical, or mental struggles.

UNH offers an Employee Assistance Program that provides all UNH employees and their family members with confidential counseling. UNH makes it simple through the Employee Assistance Program to access counseling services. Through the USNH Website employees can easily be connected with a counselor in the area. There are many reasons why an individual would seek out counseling services, some of these reasons include:

  • Work Stress
  • Coping with change
  • Anxiety or depression
  • Marital or relationship problems

Counseling through the Employee Assistance Program could help you to work through personal problems or problems within your family. Although counseling is beneficial when working through conflicts, counseling is not just for working through problems. It can also be helpful in just better understanding yourself.

Many adults do not focus on their mental health status, and it is time to change that. Even if you just want to better understand your own mental state, or better understand what makes you stressed, schedule an appointment with a counselor today!
