How The World Is Coming Together
Good Things Are Still Happening
The Coronavirus is affecting the entire world right now. Restaurants are closed, friends and family cannot get together, and everyday life feels so far from normal.
It can be hard to maintain a positive attitude during stressful situations. It's okay to be feeling however you are feeling, but one way to improve your mood is exposing yourself to uplifting moments of kindness or laughter. Things like this are happening all over the world:
- In Barcelona, every night at 8pm, thousands of people appear on their balconys and applaud the healthcare workers of the city. Events like this have also been taking place in Madrid and Seville.
- Airbnb is offering free or subsidized housing for healthcare workers, first responders, and anyone working on the frontline during this crisis.
- Close to home in Boston, neighborhoods are filled with people all joining in and singing together out of their windows. Music is sure to lift people up during a sad and scary time.
While it may be hard to envision a light at the end of this very dark tunnel, moments like this can bring a little bit of light to your day. Despite social distancing, the world is still finding a way to come together.
What can you do to stay connected?
