Wellness Counseling/Education Services

Individual counseling/education sessions are available to all UNH students. Visits are included with your tuition fees. We are available to meet with you to address:

  • Feeling stressed
  • Coping with a breakup
  • Having a difficult time sleeping
  • Want to learn relaxation techniques 
  • Adjusting to college or a new transition

We are also available to speak with you if you are concerned about another’s use of alcohol and/or other drugs or eating concerns. 

Mandated/Referred Education/Counseling

We also provide education and counseling to students who have been referral/mandated by Community Standards or legal court systems for alcohol and/or other drug violations. You must call (603)862-3823 to make an appointment. You may not make a mandated counseling appointment online.  There is a cost for these services.

We do not see students who are seeking education/counseling for DWIs or DUIs. Please call (603) 862-3823 for a referral to an outside agency.

Psychological and Counseling Services

You may find your counseling needs are better served at Psychological and Counseling Services (PACS) in Smith Hall. PACS is the primary mental health facility. They provide individual and group counseling and therapy for students who may be experiencing situational or ongoing psychological difficulties. Concerns students often address through PACS include; educational/academic goals, depression, anxiety, grief, eating disorders, substance abuse, sexual/physical/emotional abuse, self-harm/self-mutilation, sexual identity/orientation issues, traumatic situations or relationship issues.
