Cardiff University is located in the center of the capital of Wales, an exciting and diverse city and the heart of Welsh history, culture, street life and politics. There is something for everyone in the Welsh capital, with the excitement of the small city campus located just minutes from the beautiful coastlines, hills, walking trails and green countryside for which Wales is famous.
The city hosts a number of international sport, music and entertainment events throughout the year, and acts as the backdrop to a number of award winning television shows, such as BBC’s Dr. Who and Sherlock. For students who are interested in exploring farther afield, Cardiff is an ideal hub. London is less than two hours away by train, and the city has an international airport that connects you to the rest of Europe.
UNH Exchange programs are suitable for students with strong leadership skills who want an immersion experience studying with local students, relying on local services with no management or oversight by UNH or other U.S. provider.
Academics: UNH students take courses alongside their British counterparts and other international students, from several different subject ares. UNH students can enroll in a wide range of courses offered at the university.
Housing and Meals: Students are guaranteed housing in student halls of residence, living among British and international students. Payment for housing is made directly to Cardiff University. All rooms are single occupancy, with a shared lounge and kitchen area. While there are no meal plans, students tend to enjoy cooking for themselves, often sharing cooking duties. There are supermarkets nearby all student residences. There are also numerous restaurants and café options on campus and in the nearby city center.
Extra-Curricular Activities: The University boasts over one hundred clubs, sporting teams and societies, which all international students are eligible to join. From History to Harry Potter, there's something for everyone!
Tuition, Fees and Financial Aid: UNH students pay their normal tuition and some fees. UNH currently allow allows federal, state and institutional aid — except work study — to transfer for all UNH Managed, UNH Exchange and UNH Approved programs abroad. You will be able to factor in airfare as an educational cost and consider the cost of living in your host country for your estimated expenses.

Application Deadlines: A fall, spring semester or academic year exchange. Submit exchange application in Via by September 25 (for spring study abroad) or March 5 for fall/full academic year.
