Welcome to the Center for International Education and Global Engagement (CIEGE) website. We invite you to explore the exciting events and opportunities we offer. In today's globalized and interdependent world, having a transnational perspective is a critical and valuable skill for success. At CIEGE, international education means the world.
CIEGE is the home for all things international at UNH, including the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS), education abroad and experiential opportunities . CIEGE provides an array of services and resources for international students and scholars, including faculty development, scholarship opportunities and the UNH International Travel Registry.
Through CIEGE, students have access to more than 400 education abroad and internship programs from which to choose. Opportunities are offered during January-term, summer, fall and spring semesters or for a full academic year. In addition, there are numerous work, intern, and volunteer options that can enhance your studies.
The OISS participates in the creation of a culturally diverse learning environment by coordinating programs and activities that encourage interaction between the international, campus and local communities. OISS services include immigration advising and support for international students, faculty, staff and exchange visitors as well as programming and transition support. The office is also responsible for institutional compliance with federal regulations pertaining to the enrollment and employment of foreign nationals.
